• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Bigger tank for the TC250???

TemecuCoastie

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Alright, I spoke to the guys at IMS and they said I could use their tanks, but I'd have to replace the stock fuel pump for a smaller pump.

Any other alternatives????

Call Bills. they have (had?) one of those same tanks with the smaller pump opening and were working on a solution a while back. Probably know what to do.

I don't see the point in installing a tank that only increases capacity by 0.7 gallons, especially when you pay $250 for it.

That is a very steep price for so little. I'd likely just bring .7 gallon in a sealed container and throw it in the backpack with all my tools and gear before tossing back $250

If you race that's not going to work and usually get you disqualified.

When needed this is how I carry fuel. the gallon version of this container, the handle is great for butt bag (after consulting with/getting slagged by the Oz crew I never call it a fanny pack anymore) belt attachment.

also I never wait until I need it, just ride until I think I can fit some if not all into the tank just to get the weight of that thing bouncing around off asap.

How about for racing? That won't fly, will it????

Why would carrying fuel get you dis-qualified? Is there a rule somewhere I'm unaware of? I've had gas tanks sitting out on the starting line many a time for the 3+ hour races where re-fueling is required. Was thinking that if it was a 1 way ride and not a loop, the spare tank in bag is exactly what I would do.

Most the races I have been to hauling gas and pouring it in on the race course is not allowed.

strange. never heard of that one before. What is the purpose behind not allowing the hauling of gas and what dictates what is a proper storage devise for the fuel. I know companies sell those rear fender saddle tanks...is that stuff allowed?
