  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I got to the enduro and my little girl didnt want to start....

in the 40's and raining...

cranked and cranked...it died...I tried choke, no choke, a little throttle, and nothing

I finally kicked it 10 times with choke and a little Throttle and she fired...had to use the choke for 15 minutes....

am I too lean? my valves are adjusted...sometimes even in good weather I have to crack the throttle a touch...

help ...oh and stock jetting

try giving the throttle 2-3 whacks before hitting the button cold. Usually this is a no no but on huskys seems to work well.

I believe its a TE250 w/Mikuni carb. Couple of things to check... make sure your carb innards are clean, you could have a clogged pilot jet, or a stuck accelerator pump piston, a clogged accelerator pump circuit. Your main and/or slow air jets could also be clogged. These jets air located on the filter side of the carb, you must remove the air bell to check them. Check your pilot jet first.

To check to see if you have a stuck accelerator pump piston or clogged a/p circuit, look down the bore of the carb (from the air filter side of the carb) and twist the throttle open to see if the A/P is working. first, you must have fuel in your float bowl. If you twist the throttle and you have no squirt or a weak squirt coming out of the nozzle, its time to unclog it. Disassemble the a/p pump and inspect the piston spring to make sure its not broken. You can use a fine piece of wire to clear the a/p nozzle.
