  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Breather tube and rubber washers 2010 TE 510

Squidman

Husqvarna
B Class
Does anyone know where I could get a breather tube and the 4 rubber washers on top of the valve cover for a 2010 TE 510? My Bike has been leaking oil slowly since I got it. Took it back to my local dealer here for warranty repair. They are happy to do it, but it looks like the boys at the factory in Italy mounted a whole bunch wrong and a lot of people are having to replace these parts. So they are on back order. My Bike has been sitting at the dealer for 2 weeks now and the service department says they are stuck until Husky ships some. At this point they have no idea when that could be. I've been looking around on line but no luck. Any suggestions? I'm getting a bit grumpy as I finally have some free time and good weather to ride, but no bike and a seemingly unmotivated service department.

Contact R&D Husqvarna in Sydney Australia they are on the net . Stefan will probably have the bits

Thanks ghte, push come to shove I'll do that. But as I'm in Souther California, I was hoping to find a source in the states

You should be able to get all that stuff at ACE or any hardware store. The washers on mine has a little black rtv on them, but I think they are a pretty standard item at any hardware store. Did you take the valve cover off to see if the gasket is pinched or installed correctly?

@Swampds, I didn't take the cover off myself because I was still under warranty, figured I'd let the shop chase it down. The told me it was pinched. They had one in stock, so just waiting on the washers an breather. Home Depot is on my list, but as a last resort.

Try a bigger/reputable-for-stocking-parts dealer.

Halls in Indiana, Motosportz in WA, Uptite in Cali, and GP cycles in Cali, Tri-county Powersports in Cali, etc
