• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just have a quick pic to share for now of our New Year camping and riding trip. Finally got to ride with both of the twins at the same time. We hit up Johnson Valley with our club from Friday night through Monday afternoon.

Here is the crew for our Jan 1 ride after we all somehow made it to midnight to ring a ding ding in the New Year. We had a good Husky represent day. Left to right: my honey on the 449, club brother Ron on the beastly TC 510, club brother Pete on the KX 250, daughter Jaymee on the IT 200, son James on the YZ 250, and yours truly on the WR 250.

We got in a great ride and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. I'll try to post some more pics and viddy soon.

OK, thanks to Jaymee, here's some more:
Here she is on our trip the day before to the Camp Rock mine. James in the background on the ol YZ and the 250 pasta ripper waiting for my return.

Looks like a good time was had by all. Sure beats my first trail ride of 2018. Got about 8 miles out on the 125, only to have the ignition take a dump.:(

Thats a bummer. My riding buddies always look at my Huskies and joke about asking if I brought a tow strap along.

Great to see such a neat family gathering Noobee. Keep it going if you can.
Sorry about the little smoker DD.
