• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

buck up or shut up.

Please help Cafe Husky and make small contribution I did. This is the best info on the WEB about your Husky. We need all the help we can get now that KTM has taken over. Think about it. You will not regret it. Chime in if you decide to pitch in.

Good idea on CH but bad attitude on the current Husqvarna owners ...

First, ktm is not the enemy ... ktm with all the support they actually give their products and riders, is not a bad thing ... Maybe you missed why so many top riders have left riding a Husky the last few yrs? Have you noticed the real changes in the Husqvarna brand as it stands today with SP as the owner (not ktm) ? We all have to wait this one out and so far, the guessing here has been about ~0% right on the future of the Husqvarna brand of motorcycles. Please keep your shirt on as this change will take yrs, no matter what happens in OCT ...

Don't take me wrong, I don't think KTM is the enemy. We are just going to need all the support we can get and helping Cafe Hushy will only help all of us. The info I have received at this site, so far Has been priceless to me. Just trying to help the people that have given us so much.

This is a cool site and easy to use and find meaningful data on bikes ... Its almost like a per-screening of bikes here ... My 08 TXC250 was exactly what was described here ... 010 TC250 also pretty spot on also.. There are few that know the bikes history way way back also ... Some desert racers and lots of true trail guys ... So alot of just riding data also.

Coffee most likely has no real problems here with any of these changes?... At some point in time x number of people are gonna again leave Husky bikes but XXX are gonna become new members in the maybe near future as the bikes are produced over time... Maybe some MX slanted riders will show up ...

Good point, we will loose and gain members, but there will always be Italian Husky enthusiasts, just like there are Swedish Husky enthusiasts.... And I sure would like some hardcore MX company!
