• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Can't wait 06 SM 610

A Class
Well I was really torn between a SM 630 and a SM 610. I put money down on a red 610 with 255 miles and lots of upgrades. Should have it in a few days. I'll post pix when I get it.

Congrats on the new bike! These next few days are going to be looong :D
The `06 SM610 came in grey and blue/yellow so the red plastics must be part of the upgrades you mentioned. Cool!

If you don't mind me asking, what was the asking price? I almost dropped 5K on a 07 SM610 with a few upgrades and 3000 miles, then Husky dropped $3k off the MSRP on the 630's and I couldn't say no to the factory warranty, more power, etc for only ~$900 more...

I paid $5,000 for the bike (he was asking $5,500), $450 for shipping + $60 for full coverage insurance. There are a lot of upgrades. Headlight, bars, adjustable (Pazzo's) levers, grips, mirrors, Barrett exhaust, front brake upgrade, tires, tail tidy, airbox and 650 bore kit/cam. Done by Fast by Ferracci. I got a video of it running. It remains to be seen if I got a good deal!

I didn't know that it came in blue/yellow. Maybe it was a TE converted. Did they make that in red?

Yes, it will be a long wait!

Congrats -- i also added a 610 SM 07 model to my stable of Huskies --Got it in mint condition with very low km's on it. Bike is still stock standar and grey --need to do some mod's using it to commute with

My 610 will be arriving @ 7:00 this evening. Woo Hoo!
