• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello, I've been surfing this site for quite a while, registered so I can search more in-depth. Love the site, BTW.

Here's my issue. It's on a Kawi 125 that I did a PWK swap on and since the Husky guys are the most common to do this, I've come here for help.
The bike is fully rebuilt and no air leaks, good spark, PV clean, new governor, etc. It has a brand new PWK38 as well.
The bike has a terrible bog when ripped to WOT. I've tried everything I know of to include JD jetting kit w. Blue needle, evey MJ from 170 to 185 and every PJ from 40 to 55.
Granted the old TMX didn't bog but it didn't run worth a damn either. I couldn't get it jetted right, it leaked fuel everywhere and was just plain worn out.
The PV open normally and quick like it should. Unfortunately, this problem cost my son a podium at an arenacross race and I cannot, for the life of me, figure it out. I'm very experienced with bikes and all engines, but this one got me.

Here's a vid from yesterday.

Try raising the needle as far as it will go or if you have a smaller diameter needle try that, My best results when setting a pwk up for the Husky 125s was a thick/lean needle around the shut to 1/3 open then a really big taper going to wfo then sorting the main out to suit.
My 125 would only bog like that if the needle was to lean but I must add my jetting other than the pilot was completly different from most guys as our UK fuel dosnt like the usa jetting specs.
Hope you get it sorted soon
