• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Carbon Fiber Exhaust for Husky, what do we think...??

I would be concerned its made of chinesium. Sounds like cheese, lasts like cheese. Wonder what it tastes like.
Soft steel..not an alloy to be seen...Water egress leads to rapid destruction. Who knows.

They make goods strictly to price. Any emotional connection to absolute quality just DOES NOT EXIST.
Would you fly in a jet aircraft with a chinese designed and made to a cost in China engine...without life insurance to at least soften the blow for your family? ,(1st uncles profit is paramount)
This is why cheap imported steel is causing havoc with structural integrity of engineered construction here in Oz.

yeh ape the boys are probably right. It may last for a couple of years but ill bet its gonna sound like pus.
Did the same for the klr once, made it sound like a firecracker. Even after jetting for it.

I here good reports on the GPR systems with the local tr guys and they sound OK. There expense and the hose clamp mounting is what kept me away.

I bought a set of used demons, they have been set and forget. (not much weight savings)
Have you tried screaming demons for a cost x unit run? They would have kept the jigs.

Other options anyone? apart from dumping a cat.
Best mod ever, seriously

Best mod ever.... K&N Air Filter, Removing the Cats and Opening out the stock pipes to 40mm straight through.
The bike is loud, but it breathes like never before.

Tyga carbon muffler and a single outpipe.
Muffler direct from TYGA in thailand.
Single pipe from Performance Exhausts in Brisbane, custom made ( though I suspect he now has the pattern.)
Muffler weighs a tiny fraction of the original one, let alone 2. Loud std and I have made a dB killer for mine.

Hows is that held on and what does it sound like..?

I posted this in my intro to the forum, but in case you didn't see it, here's another option:
I got a single pipe into a Pro Circuit T-5 on my Terra. It was on the bike when I bought it 2nd hand, so don't have specs, sorry.
It's loud, saved my ass a few times in the brainless-driver world we have here in Africa.
Quick sound clip (done with mobile phone, so a bit soft - turn up the volume:
