• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Case Saver - Husqvarna 610

Anyone know if a case saver is available for 2006 up model 610?

There used to be one on my 04 610e, but do not seem to be standard on the newer models.

A quick call to R&D husky here is Aus and they say that they are not available, and that the ones for the enduro models will not fit.

I would presume that one off a 610e would fit, but am not sure of availability.

Any ideas?

David

mate give B&B a ring. If no luck there try Whipps. If ALL else fails take your bike to an Alloy fabricator and see if you can talk them into making one. For some reason, fabricators dont want to do much for their $'s. You may have to push the issue and make sure you set a price too. Otherwise they'll be trying to get your Arm otr leg in the bargain. good luck...Nick

No need to worry too much.

I got one off a 510, and it bolts straight on.

The only thing was that it needed two spacers to pack it out to in-line with the chain.

Easy.

We, (7602) have a run of 610 specific case savers coming out in the next few weeks. I know it doesn't do you much good right now, but we will have them available at some point in the near future.

Exciting! :applause:

Now, what the hell happened to your avatar?

Will do. Got a few other 610 goodies coming out about the same time. I married that cute, beer drinking blonde so had to take it down. :D
