• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Coming back after a long absence. Perhaps with an interesting offer.

Hello,

It has been some time since I was using this resource and I thought I would stop back in perhaps for selfish reasons if that's OK. My old account was linked to an old work email I no longer have and wasn't sure how to restore it so I started over. Here's an old post I made that had the most important part of my TR650 experience.

The TR was sold some time ago and the new owner had almost no issues for a long time, a leak or two. After that my son lost track of it I think. He has not long ago added another slightly used Husqvarna to which a few modifications have been made. This one is a Norden 901 and while I've only ridden it a little he is having fun with it.

So back to my selfish reason to post. I realized we still have a couple things that came from the TR650 when acquired but as a result of the post above were never re-used again. I recently sold the GS-911 I bought but still have a Dynojet Power Commander V and a Wukaking temp spoofer. Both of these were on the TR as the previous owner was probably using them to try to overcome the issues that were growing. Without these two things I don't think that TR would have run at all.

I'd like to see if there is any interest here first and I'm willing to make really good deals and even happy to give back some of the sale to help this forum keep going. Perhaps you pay a portion to me and something to the people that have invested in this project. fwiw I've retired and now that I have more free time I realize I have way to many things around someone else needs to make use of. Give me some advice here please.

Thanks for letting me back in !

Yes I agree and I more or less acknowledged that in my linked post, which is why they did not go back on the back. However some people do modify their exhaust or other parts of the bike to make a little more power and then these items may allow you to tweak things to your liking and get a few extra hP. Some motors can also run a little better with a tune 'different' than what the factory chose to do primary for emissions and economy. I'm only asking if someone might be interested here and I could help support the TR forum where I found some valuable help before I resort to ebay.

Thanks
