  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anyone know if they span all years and displacement from 2004-06/07 and 250/450/510? I found the one pictured.

I'm trying to put a CB in my 2006 TC450. Thanks! image.jpeg image.jpeg

verify P/N they are different for 510 and 450 but get into the parts fiche they are listed in there. you need the bearings and the 2 drive gears. my suggestion after remove the flywheel disc and aligning and installing (press fit/interference fit) the gear onto the crankshaft weld the gear on so it cannot slip under any circumstance, no worries for the C/B shaft if I remember it has an index or no slip keyway. we did 4 small welds then cleaned them up on the crankshaft. also make an alignment tool with a cut off drill bit shaft that fits into the alignment hole on the drive gear and mates to the crankshaft.

Yes, I agree. I had three 2006 450s back then. One of each type and the SMR was so much nicer. Shame they didn't CB all of them.

Thanks for the help!

I never had more than four. I thought I was out in 2010??? When I finally unloaded all my scraps of what had been three 450s. And I had always advised others from ever buying one from the 90-2013 era but when I saw this minty TC just like the one I owned nostalgia took over and here it is.

So I find myself once again with a not great MX bike that I can't unload even though it's almost new and not a bad Enduro if your not in a hurry compared to the new stuff.

I have a new FC450 and this 06 and I'm thinking I'm stuck with it so better prep it the way I'd want it and just use it for off road stuff. I plan to be cured from Cagiva built Huskys after this one. Seriously. No, really, I've learned my lesson. I have! Lol! The bikes I hate to love.

After the WR250 left, is still have a CR125, WR125, TE250 TXC310 and an SM610 with extra DS wheels.

I'm too far gone to redeem!
