  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi folks. First this is NOT an advert but I am thinking of selling my Husky as was detailed in a long and rambling build thread here. Question is what should I put it up for?
I'm thinking Ebay classified. I've about managed to forget how much I spent on it and I need to fund other projects. I may well not sell it if I can work out how to get some cash from somewhere and depending on feed back from here.
It's all on the road with MOT,tax and age related plate so what do you reckon£££?

To me, this bike would be priceless and if it were mine, I would not sell it. I would ride it only on full moon nights and put it on display in my living room. You just don't see many vintage 500 Husky 2 stroke supermotos!

Don't be stupid, keep it after all the work you've put into it. Unless, of course, you're in to "fixin' and flippin' " bikes for profit in order to fund the next project. If you do eventually sell, then be sure to demand top dollar.

I'm re-insuring this afternoon and digging out the drawings I did a couple of weeks ago for titantium spindles. I won't be selling. Just have to rob a bank and move to a bigger house that's all!

Smart move... to much blood sweat & tears there brother, you make bikes that border on works of art. Barry Sheene would be proud.

I'm out in the afternoon. Castor oil and a fresh breeze across the cotswolds, must get a go pro thing to share, it's a rare ride :D

Ha ha, just googled it. I went past a couple of pub gardens, I wonder if there was a stampede to the dunny after I smoked by?

Classic... just saw on utube (we are behind the times here) that Mr Clarkson has a lightning in his front yard...(bit off topic)
