• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Crash compilation (same guy) video

In all those spills, rads are still holding their liquids, never bent a lever. Bent one set of handle bars and a few hand guards. Not on GoPro was the bent header from 2 weeks ago.

mountain bike= OUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
That was bad, but worse than it seemed. Purely cosmetic so to say. No broken bones or anything. I had to feel around a bit to make sure my face was still attached though. The worst part is that I had a good 40 minutes to pedal back to the car, mostly downhill, but without any front brakes because they broke. What did me in was the 11 hours waiting in the ER and to come out with a prescription for anti-inflammatories!! oh well...

Finally sat down and watched it. Good video, great song choice. :)

I'm a mountain biker myself, so I can relate.

Oh man... don't get me started. Broke my leg years ago, and after an ambulance ride I was in the ER for many hours. Then they came out and said "yep, it is broke, here is a prescription for some pain meds". I could have splinted the leg and arranged a ride home without the huge medical bill had I known that.

We have medical care so that part was cool. Many times I said I was leaving but they did not want to discharge me. They wanted to keep me around, see if there was any internal damage. Then they realized that my brain was the way it was, accident or no accident! ;)

I was back on the mountain bike today for a good 3 hours. Still not as comfortable as I use to be in some sections, and avoiding the crash tree as much as possible. Still, never thought I would get so banged up simply riding a pedal bike! Seems I get bruises everywhere. Sure the hits aren't as hard as a dirt bike, but boy do I have some nice steaks on my legs!
