  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

CS sprocket brand?

craigs449

Husqvarna
B Class
Used the search function, but couldn't find the answer. What brands make CS sprockets for the Husky's......Specifically, the 510 smr. I have looked at the X-lites that MS carries, but I wanted to know whether any other company makes them also. Also, anybody use the ss oil filter on these? where to get them? I can only find the Hiflo paper ones....

Thanks:cheers:

Talon makes some sprockets for Huskies in general and these guys sell the K&P SS filters..

My SS filter is AOK after about 3 months ...

And there is some company that makes a lifetime sprocket for bikes also but I can't remember their name now ...

My favorites  ... and

This guy will give you a lifetime guarantee on some of his sprockets ... Probably limited by his companies lifetime and not the sprocket :) ... You'll have to put a pencil to it to see when the cost of one of these single sprocket over takes a few sets of normal sprockets ...

I bought into the dirt tricks sprockets sales pitch. The 610 is hard on them and they get loose, causing more wear to the shaft. Dirt Trick's countershaft sprockets are supposed to be made from the same material as punch press dies. Thems made from some tough stuff .

Ironman sprockets are the toughest around, I ran one through 3 chains and around 7000 miles and the thing still looks new, thats a rear sprocket though, I have a front now but its fairly new but I suspect it will last a long time.

Thanks......Josh, i'm looking for a 13 t for the track. Sent a request to MFI to see if they can bring me one to Summit Point on 9-24-10....
