• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Not far off at all. I'll be hard pressed to pass up a chance to hit El Pueblo Magico. Hit my fav place Friday night - Hotel La Mision. BTW, our taco shop on the corner near the crossing hasn't been open in a while.

I'm still trying to find the results. Nothing has been posted yet.

Aaaand, it's Tuesday and still no results posted. I hung around for over hour after the race Sunday and they weren't posted by the time I left.

Glad you guys continue to support the D38 events.....because every time I look at them I cringe at the thought of racing in that area, it's sooo not my world (and yes I have done it a bunch of times from standard D38 events like this one to 2 hardcore Nat H&Hs in that same area)

D38 just isn't the same since Fud passed on. I never made a steady diet of D38 events but I would do 1 or 2 per year when they would fit into my schedule or looked like fun events. Really enjoyed the summer Gran Prix series he ran back in the early 1980's up in the mountains near Boulevard, also liked competing in the Nat. H&H's in the mid 1980's and did the 24 hrs. of Le Fud 4 brutal times. Ahh the memories...

The last GP was held up in Ana, CA at the Ranch. What a great layout - it was crazy fun!
