  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Do 2011 plastics fit on 2009 TE models

models? I want to order new plastics for my bike and would rather have the new ones cause of no decals.. Dont like the 2010 style...
 
I really doubt it. The new ones are a one piece fairing design, at least on the 450/510. Maybe the 250/310 will be able to switch.
 
I was at my Husky dealer yesterday and he had a 2011 model TE 250.. They changed the gas tanks but the shrowds still looked identical. I'm tired of peeling decals and dont like the 2010 style, do like the 2011's though. I asked the dealer and he wasn't sure but thinks they still are the same... Was hoping somebody would know for sure. Thanks for replying Dirt Rider :-)
 
Because of the changes to the fuel tank the 2011 plastics do not fit.
I have a 2011 TE310 and i have 2010 tank shrouds left over from my last bike and they definately do not fit, so it's the 2010 shrouds or a sticker kit for you my friend!!
 
You could get 2010 and they are compatible (and have the embedded graphics). We have 2010 shrouds on a 2009 TXC 450.
 
Does anyone know who has them in stock? I have tried several Websites and the TE450 2009 to 2010 conversion is out of stock. I too hate it when my bike looks like I don't maintain it properly! Thanks.
 
Can you people not read? he doesn't like the 2010 plastics and the 2011's definately do not fit!..so he either get's over not liking the 2010 plastics or he gets a good quality sticker kit
As for the 2009 to 2010 450 conversion they will fit, but cant answer who has them in stock.
 
whilst you may not like the style after 1 years riding my 2010 plastics look like new still.. a brilliant idea from husqy very durable.
