• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Document storage on TE610?

Where are the TE610 owners storing documentation (registration, proof of insurance) on their bikes? Best I came up with on short notice was putting them in the tool bag, with the tool bag under the seat behind the battery.

I'm a TE250 owner and I put the registration & proof of insurance in a ziplock baggie & place it next to the battery under the seat.

I roll mine up in a small piece of 1/2" pvc and slip a cap on both ends and slide it in the toolbag. Keeps them pretty safe.

If the bike I'm riding has a plate, I've got my wallet with me so that's where I keep my papers.

I also have copies of all the registrations and insurance papers in a pocket in every jacket I ride in.

I have a wallet I use for riding that has only my docs, a credit card and a bit of money. I put the wallet in a ziplock and I carry it on me. My riding pants have a nice pocket in the thigh area and I keep it along with my phone and a spare key in there.

Old school...35mm film can attached to steering tube, In the knee pocket for armor in leathers.
I have seen some cool pics of small wallet type nylon pouches attached under the seat. Keeps it out of air filter goo and is only a twist away on a TE. Also a similar deal behind head light mask.

Accessorize

I've got a "Moose" tailbag. It's a great accessory.
Mounts on the rear rack, not big and bulky, holds quite
a bit. It has an extra little zip up pouch in the lid flap
that's perfect for insurance paperwork, maps, cell phones etc.
