• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Dungey bike a lemon?

If you've followed the Nat'l Enduros you know Charlie Mullins had serious engine problems in each of the first three rounds. In round two they replaced the engine during the race and round three he had a mechanical DNF. I've also read that Knighter had problems with the bike and someone out west did too (maybe Brownie).

We all know you're not supposed to buy the first year of any new model because the bugs have to be worked out. But to have your top guys DNF and have serious problems....that just looks really bad.

Not trying to brand hate, just really curious what the problem is. Obviously it's working very well for Dungey. So what are you hearing about this bike?

I was wondering why I couldn't find Mullins' results for the Sandlapper. I hope they can get the bugs worked out for Hot Rod for the GNCC. I really would like for him to see the light once again, (like last year) and race the smoker.

In Ktms defense, I'm sure the bike is tweaked out and with a fast pilot is going through serious abuse!! Wait a minute that was the nice Fletch. The real one says::cheers: But then again I always thought KTM stood for Kan't Take Much!! Hey at least it's not on fire like that KTM video that was posted some time ago!!!

Wasn't that David Phillaparts with the flaming KTM? I remember that time well as most of us were screaming about the 1/4-turn gas gaps that spewed fuel all over our crotches. Anyhoo I've been hearing clutch issues for the boys.

I think it is the single spring clutch they went to this year. Thats what knighter was complaining about.
