• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

EVS SX01 knee brace

Lone Wolf

Husqvarna
B Class
I am thinking of using the EVS SX01 knee brace for street use (asphalt backroads and the occasional dirt road on Sundays). I like this particular knee brace since the straps attached from the front and they go on like a knee band (straps from the back chaffs my leg terribly) and it is more of a high-end knee guard than a brace :D . However I am having doubts about fitment since I am buying this online...not going to the store and trying them on. Anyone bought these and willing to share their experience or alternative recommendations?

I used a pair for several years and have nothing bad to say about them. I went to the RS8 series and, for the money, I think the SX01 is a better buy.

I was also able to get a good fit with their size chart.

I'm using a set of EVS SX02 knee braces and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I bought mine online and I used the chart the web site had to get the size I needed. They fit and feel good and I feel very confident when I ride with them. I used to ride with shin/knee guards until I screwed my knee up doing something not ride related. After I bought these things it took a little time getting used to them. From now on I would NEVER ride with out them. The knee cups are removable if you choose but I would never recommend that. They are an added amount of protection for your knees. I do know guys that have more expensive ones and they love them. I'm not sure if they are better or not but I'm satisfied with mine. And if your worried about chafing, they do sell leg protection to wear underneath the knee braces.
