• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

First Glen Helen trophy ever for me ( on a Husky!)

This may not mean much in the overall Husky MX world but to my kids.... a 2nd place SRA GP MX member trophy at Glen Helen SR Beginner speaks volumes! Hopefully more to come as I continue to represent the Gunsights in SoCal... with fan support like this how can I not keep racing and improving? I may not be the fastest or best rider but I have heart and soul backing me!

Thanks guys for all the posts. The whole competition MX thing is fairly new to me so the challenge of the combined National and REM tracks as well as everything else that Glen Helen can throw at you in the way of some pretty hardcore riders and challenging terrain and obstacles definitley challenges you..... Glen Helen has been really cool...

As far as the kids....the cool thing is on the way to my 4 year old's baseball/flag football practice tonight he says to me.... "Dad, I'm going to win a trophy for you"

Nothing like instilling a winner instinct in him already........ my wife and I have agreed ( she told me!) that he gets a bike at age 5 next April and then I think I will discover a whole different side of Glen Helen... the afternoon at the kid track....

Robertaccio... will be looking for you in November.... by the way, they brought the tires back yesterday! I didn't ride as I have a bum arm right now......just went out to check it out...

its tire climb time****************************************!

They were about a foot higher than this image of me from last year's endurocross style SRA... but were ramped on one side so that the kids on the 85 two smokes could climb them. They did however have a viscious drop on the down hill side... there was no option but to go over them..I hope that they leave them in place for the next race
