• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

first ride on tc449

had my first outing on my new TC449, pretty impressove compared to my 06 TC510, supprised on how well the suspension worked right out of the crate! will have to get re-trained on the rear break for sure. cant wait to break it in to use the full range of the power.

well from the first ride on my dads 12 tc449, its a totally awesome bike wherever its being rode. it the tight gnarly stuff or medium paced or wide open whooped out stuff the 449 is a awesome machine that I much prefer over my 12 tc250, but i'll I still prefer my wr ( just prefence of 2 stroke)

You speaketh the truth and only the truth,,, Amen ...:)

You had me there untill you mentioned smokers, oh well at least your a Husky rider.
That said, if and when Husky gets an electric leg and PI I may go back to them (if only they had engine braking)

ok here is my first race report:
on the start it might just be me not knowing the bike good enough but it appears to not be a hole shot machine, i usually excell at this but i found myself mid-pack. but****************************************! the smooth power and the way this holds the tight inside line took me to the front of the pack in no time at all, suspension worked great with no break in and no adjustments so far, i know this will change with time spent on the bike, it is only 1 hour of ride time so far. the bike feels way lite and the fatigue i usually have was gone, it is great to have the only Husky in the event and have people just ask a ton of question, some made fun of the way it looked but many were surprised at how it performed. one thing that i found interesting was how everybody mentioned how quiet it was, almost electric compared to all the others. who ever mentioned that there was no engine braking with this must have been riding a different brand, this feature was hard to get used to. way more than my 510. hope this helps, by the way i got the moto win first time out, can't be all bad!
