• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

First Ride On The 2012 Te 511....vid

Road my new TE 511 on some single track for the first time ... My conclusion is this bike will be a perfect do everything but freeway ride !
As road :
De-catted,
Race map II,
Gearing- 13-51t,
Cyrca pro bend hand guards,
Scotts steering dampener with 1" bar rise sub mount,
Motosportz disk guards,
Up-tite bash plate,
Removed licence plate fender and zip tied plate to sub fender,
Maxis IT desert tires... 120/100/18,
MotorX full synthetic 10-50w filled half way up the window... and no oil in airbox,
Noticed the dragging clutch phenomena but started well in gear and would click into neutral fine when rolling to a stop.... ,
My suspension settings were tested on 6th gear high speed chop with jumps and dips too see what this bike can handle.....and it sure will handle just about everything that I will throw at it.... I left these setting the same for the trail just to see how the bike handled single track.... Bike felt like it didn't want to settle into the trail with stiff settings and became a bit more ridable the faster I went but for trail riding I will deff turn down the compression and rebound clickers and that will make higher speed single track more manageable ....... I couldn't be happier with this bike ! It seemed to lug down until you could here valves chatter and never a stall that didn't make sence ! I thought the front sprocket swapped out the 15 for the 13 was perfect ! Thank you Husky for building a bike that the people want .... All smiles for now !

Great vids. I enjoyed them. Pretty technical on the 1st one & looked like real fun on Freeway ridge. Being form the east I really enjoyed the scenery your video brought out. Good luck on your 511. :)
