    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I've got a new '11 TE310.

At how many hours/miles would you do the first oil change/service? I'm at 4.5 hours and about 65 miles right now and I was thinking it was time, although I could probably get another day of riding in.

I want to have the shop check the EFI mapping cuz it kinda sucks in the low rpms. The idle's low, too, but it also varies a bit more widely than I think it should. Other than that, the bikes doing great.
 
I do about 100 kms (60 miles) for the first oil change and change oil and filter.
Also check all nuts and bolts.
 
Yeah, I figured I was in the ballpark, but thought I'd see how you fellow husqvites felt...


off subject but what bike did you replace before you got 11 310?

I still have my '03 TE610e. But I may sell it. I may not ride it much. There's not a lot of dirt in the Silicon Valley area and the 310 is much nicer for riding at OHV parks. I do feel more comfortable on the 610 and there are occasionally rides that I might do where it would be a good steed to choose. But I also have an F800GS, so some rides would be better for that bike, making the ones the 610 gets picked for rather rare. I'd hate to see it just collect dust most of the time while I pay insurance on it. I'd rather it go to a good home. But I'm still waffling on selling it...
