• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Foot Peg Compatability / Identification ?

Well, I thought that '86 pegs would fit my '84. I bought these that were advertised as '86 but should have done more research as these dont fit, not even sure they are stock '86. The return springs look identical to the parts PDF for '86, but the actual peg looks different than the rendering in the 86 PDF. The 87 and 88 pdf rendering is not as well defined, so maybe it is one of those years, or maybe these are aftermarket or HP pegs, if they made them.

Can anyone confirm exactly what I have here?

Will also be selling them if anyone has any interest, they are in excellent shape, I was just going to do a little teeth sharpening and otherwise thought they would be excellent pegs for my '84.IMG_0472.jpgIMG_0473.jpg

those don't look like 80's pegs but I could be mistaken
if you need some I have a few sets laying around, pm me

The pegs from 1964 to 1984 are all the same fitment with a couple of exceptions around the Mag Husky era. From 1985 they are indeed a little different, but a customer told me, ours can be made to fit, but I have not checked this.... The Evo footrest springs are different too. The pictures in all the Husky Manuals should not be relied upon for pictoral detail, as many of the pictures bear only a passing resemblance to the item in question!
