Fork identification ?

Here is a set of forks I got in bunch of husky parts.

I have looked and things not matching up.

Plus some of the old parts pdf's are not very viewable.

Air caps. Sure someone fabricated them.

Aluminum triples? Look after market? Top of triple not pictured is about same as bottom. Possibly Marzocchi after market?

Everything looks to be in good shape just greasy and some wrench marks on blue air caps.

Fender bracket?

Forks maybe 77-78?

Also, got a decent complete front Akront rim and hub. Might have a rear as well?

The caps are GOKI they were made for many bikes in the late 70's early 80's

Those are not stock Husqvarna but they might be a set of reduced offset for an earlier straight leg fork set

Those look like stock '77-'78 Husky leading axle forks, definitely aftermarket clamps.

Ok Kartwheel, we agree on forks.

Now curious on triple clamps and fender brace.

They look like clamps for the straight leg forks, the offset is too far forward for use with leading axle forks, the clamps should be almost straight with the fork tubes almost in line with the steering stem.

This is a stock '77 clamp for leading axle forks.

This is a stock clamp for a '76 straight axle fork.

Your clamps are aftermarket clamps for the straight leg fork but with much less offset than the stock clamp.

Also, I notice your clamps have tapered bearings, which will not work in the '77-older frame with the loose ball bearings. I dont know of any '78-up bikes with straight leg forks, so I suspect that the clamps might not be for a Husky but something that got adapted from something else.

Yeah, they are. They dont look like any of the modern billet clamps, nor the period ProFab clamps, but they look very nice for sure.

But looking up the Montessa ones. Don't look like them?

Fender bracket it well thought out and stamped perfect. Craftsman ship is there.
So if used on older like 250 mag or cross. This would make the forks move close towards bike thus using the leading axle ones? What your thoughts Kartwheel?

These appear to be machined, I have never seen an OEM clamp that was not cast so I still think they are aftermarket.

They do move the forks closer to the bike, but they are still too far forward for leading axle forks, leading axle forks need almost straight clamps. You could use these with leading axle forks, but the rake and trail would be so far off the bike would turn slower than the Titanic.

Vintage Husky makes a set of reduced offset triple clamps for the MAG and other straight fork leg Husqvarnas. The clamps might have been made by John at Vintage Husky

Those arent his clamps, I dont think they are even Husky clamps.
