  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Found an '09 TE 310 575 miles, any words of wisdom to eval?

Husqvarna
I have narrowed my search down some, I found a TE310 a few hours away to check out.

It has 575 miles, comes with some extra goodies.
Power up done, extra tires, sprockets, bigger tank, recent valve check.
It is reported to be in perfect shape
Asking $4400
Seem like a reasonable deal?
I road a 2011, hope its not that different.

The 2011 is lighter and racier because it has a different chasis and motor. The 2009 is a nice bike but not really the same.

Check KBB.com. Pay nothing for extras. They are NOT a bagaining chit.
Pay PP retail only- or less!
Pull tank and check under it.
Pull air filter and make sure back-fire screen is there (if so equipped) and inspect boot for dirt.
Check wheels and suspension for loose etc.
Go over it with a fine tooth comb.
Verify ALL electrics are in good working order.
Check for leaks.
Pull all caps and sniff for burnt odors.
Trust no seller you cannot vouch for.
Test ride it COLD, verify all gears work (you'd be surpised how many bring a bike home w/ no top gear!)
Deduct for shot rubber, missing this etc....
Don't forget the OM!

Fair deals are easy to find, good deals are hard to find and STEAL's are just that- illegal. Buyer beware!

Good thing is it's a Husky and they are very hard to kill.

its a lot different from a 2011.i say buy it get the jd fi programmer and have your forks worked on.i bet you like it alot.dan

Thanks a ton guys. I will take all advice. Seems like a gently used well cared for bike as best I can tell ( I've called about 10 different people with various )

I'd say go sit on it,ride it,and make your judgement call then.Only you can tell if you like it regardless of the model, there's nothing like a ride in the saddle to tell you if it's you.:)
