  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Getting a new bike!

Here in Oz. The new model 2t would be nearly double the Italian bike so to me the Austrian bike seems better value
If you can handle a 250 2t. If not you may be much quicker and safer on the 4t !
 
the 250 4 stroke with the X lite Engine is not a bad bike. Matthew Phillips raced the Enduro class on the TE310 model x lite engine. It is half the money, you wouldnt loose much if you decide to sell it again.
Though there is a huge difference in buying a 2t or a 4t. ... I'd love to have both.
 
Yeah it boils down to do you like a 4 stroke or a 2 stroke. Both awesome bikes. I got my son the 2013 Husky TC 250 and he really likes it; me too for that matter. Very smooth power and great handling on a MX track. I ride mostly MX and feel better on a 250/350 4-stroke. If I rode more in the woods I'd get the 2-stroke. Like someone said, only you know what you think you would like best but at least you picked two very good bike. Can't go wrong with either. Good luck and keep us posted. :cheers:.
 
I own a TC450 09 There have lots of power man! it eats 2 stroke 300cc's the amount of low end tourqe it has if i was you and have the money i would buy a TC450 2010 model Good luck with what ever you pick tho :)
