• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Is anyone familiar with v1 of this? Video on rocky mountain shows v4 being installed and a new steering nut and white dust cover being provided but it didnt come in my kit because it was a pro racers extra kit i bought. Can i use factory dust cover (metal one) and factor steering large nut? Wow does it jack bars higher from what i saw on video, if so that kinda throws off your elbow height, am i right? Its my 15yr old sons ktm200, i hope it doesnt hurt his riding ergonomics and good elbow positioning. Any help or advice? The company website didnt have any contact to email them, that i saw.

I had ZipTy Racing install mine but I'm 99% sure they handed me the metal cover back and it has a plastic/Teflon washer cover installed.

I would call GPR and talk with Randy those guys are always super helpful

I have gpr on my 17 150 and on every bike I have owned I always mount bar over instead of under. For me under just looked like jacked bars to high for me. Im bout 5'10 and over is what always worked best for me. You can call GPR or BRP either one will send you what you need to mount. I was able to use everything stock except bar clamps.

this is a V1 issue question yes? V1 it the higher profile unit, call gpr, look on the website at your options they are super helpful. you will get way better tech assistance from the oem then from us guys.
