• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

(Attn foul language warning) I have a mount on my helmet...but no cam, borrowed Dario's cam and goofed off a bit and goofed up by mounting it sideways on my helmet..... OK just turn your laptop or screen sideways. This day was Dario(ITA) KTM400EXC, Mauro(ARG) KTM200XC and Robert(USA)TXC310R Husky.East County San Diego zone. Will continue to post all the viddys from that day in this thread (there are a bunch)

This was video 1 with the cam on my helmet, at @ 1:15 I hit a manzanita stump in a right hand berm corner and broke off my brake stop.
The other vids with my H cam are all after the brake stop break, we had to adjust the brake so the shaft would stay in the master cylinder the pedal was in super high position without the stop. Frustration set in, my brake points were ruined and I was brake stalling and I was cursing up a storm in the other viddys.

And apparently yer also a cheap SOB :D if you wont buy a button! After all you want to preserve that Wattsy artifact under glass or something.

Its since been replaced,,,funny the parts catalog does not have it. I just ordered a kill button and peeled the label off it. The connector was a non match so I just spliced the old connector onto the new switch wire pigtail. And no my broken supposedly by Wattsy switch is not on display-thats all hearsay anyway!!
And yes you guys crack me up!!
PS all the future post viddys without the cam (Dario cam) on my helmet are before the brake/break.

You did exactly what I woulda done...button is a button is a button. Push it connects, let go it dont.
Make it official, get his signature :)

LOL I can only joke about your stick starter button....I have light switch on my Ferris 0-turn lawn mower to replace the broken blade engagement button :D. We gotta do what we gotta do.

East County? Don't they practice cannibalism and ritual killings out there?
How can you tell if a surfer is from Lakeside? His surf board is the one w/a rifle rack on it.

brilliant- thats classic I had no idea about that lake (pond). So I guess thats where the lakeside name comes from.

Reminds me of when I lived in Orange County years ago and saw them put up a new office tower, name it something like Lake View and then dug an little pond in front of it :-) All looked pretty silly to an Oregonian.
