• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Had another great day near Tecate BC Mex......

The following weekend from the other post, this past weekend. Local crew Invitational mostly tight rocky single track trail ride with a group of Mexican trail riders of the more hardcore variety--the best kind of hermanos!! This was the first real get your balls on filter check, I was helping some others redo and get up this thing, Jaime in official chase mode and i stayed mostly on chase for this ride. We both kept it very very simple-no fanfare or hey watch this type stuff, the screw up has possible ugly consequence, it is very steep, I was waaay over the front.

1st viddy response- solid rock perfect traction except for the very bottom 20 or so feet.
Si Baja California es muy Great!!

Another little section, we were the ones cheering and clowning in the back ground we chased these guys through (cam flattens it big time), It has rock 2 steps that are some what formidable for lesser machines than the TXC310R (hahahaha)

Missing it all. This snow won't go away! Was 3 FEET of Ice on the lakes last week and they are still driving 3/4 ton trucks on the lakes to fish as of today!!! On a plus side. I have new riding gear ready to tear it up!!

(PS I still dont have a h cam....as it turns out all hcam is kato drivers that I ride with.) The side of trail viddy is from Reeds cam hes a diehard YAM WR pilot (very good pilot)

Is baha still a safe area for Americans? I lived in san felipe for 9 months 89-90. I loved it but have not been back since. I would like to take the wife but have dropped the thought in the past few years due to the news out of mexico. Mikes Sky Ranch keeps calling my name.

Little Rock, is more dangerous...... as for Mex if ya aint in the cartel game you aint a target. Not a numbers guy but all those doom and gloom US news reports (we are the kings of scare the public news).........with no real solid data I would say that 99% of those 1000s killed in Mex were all in the game.
Sabor, folks are riding down and racing there every weekend and Mikes is a big destination by many.
