• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Happy Father's Day! Ride Report!

Happy Father's Day to all you riders out there! So it went like this: I haven't logged too much time on the new Husky TE250. So a Father's Day ride is a good excuse, right? So I gave myself a flurry of reasons why I shouldnt go, (i.e) yard work, having family over in afternoon, too much cleaning up etc!!! Then the wife steps in--- UMM You must go Riding**************************************** Enjoy yourself you never get time to go!!! Well then I must go right? The guys felt the same, So early mornning we go. The usual crew 5 of us. 2 newer to riding but progressing quite fast, I must say Jason and Jeff are Rockin and Rollin! and the 3 ( Dave, Rob and I )of us have been riding together for a few years, my Best friend Rob and I Started together approx 20yrs ago and have been going ever since! So out we go, some North Jersey Stuff, WOW this was an awesome ride!!! The bike is fantastic!!! The more I ride the better it is**************************************** Coming off a KTM200exc I was leary but I am really enjoying this ride, and the e-start, forget it, the Best!!! I have never owned an e-start I have been kicking for 20 yrs, I am short so its twice as hard. The trails seemed epic today just the right mix of technical and wide open, ups, and downs,Rocks, Roots, Smooth , berms, Just a bit of everything! A tough hill climb or 2 but that's par for the course. Jason was an incredible trail guide as he knows these trails! At one point about half way through the ride I felt as if I could feel the stress of life and everyday completly leave my body, a sense of calm, and a strong connection with trail, the bike, my fellow riders and nature came together! Total focus! This is why we ride I thought to myself! There is no feeling like it! (Go Pro footage to follow), (It died about half way through the ride). The Husky is a mean machine! loving the handling, the suspension is working quite nicely, some really good power! I am getting adjusted to the delivery of the power as it is different from my 2stroke KTM. Dont know if any of you rode today but I hope some if not all you did! As we packed up, everyone was in good shape except Rob's Ktm Rear fender, Thats was in 2 pieces ( now a wall mount). A little up hill get off will do that to your bike! LoL! As we headed home, I felt great, very relaxed, I missed my 7yr old riding buddy, but these trails were not for him- yet, (in due time), and I Thanked my Wife for it was she that got me out there! And a Thanks to my riding crew Rob Dave Jeff and Jason as they had a hand in getting me out and setting me up for a day of smiles! Happy Father's Day all and Hoping others got some dirt as well let me know**************************************** Thanks JC

Thanks and always good to get on the bike in the woods or where ever and you'll either clear your mind of the trivial things in life and concentrate on riding or its gonna be crash time ... Seat time is where its at and hanging with that riding crew sounds like a good idea for the future ...

These Huskies are world class bikes.. It can do what ever is needed to finish a ride and bring you back home ... If you can reach the point where the bike is doing most of the work and you are just hanging on and keeping the bike in position to do its work, you have arrived! ...
