• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

HDB Bars Fit

B Class
I have a 2008 TE610. I just got an X2 headlight, now I need an alternate mount for the turn signals. I noticed that HDB has an option for turn signals mounted on the guards. Their web site also says that they only fit 1 1/8" bars. If I upgrade to the new bar size do I also have to get a new throttle assembly and levers?

The 2008 comes with fat bars (1-1/8) I thought? So no need to replace them unless you want a different bend.

My '07 uses 7/8 bars so would need new clamps.

As mentioned they all are 7/8" at the control ends.

Not sure how the X2 affects your turn signals, but on my Lynx fairing, I used stock upper triple clamp brackets on 1/2" ropund spacers with flexible long stem minature marker lights (Western Power Sports 60-1378 dual filament for more visability). The are small enough poke out around the fairing and still not hit my handguards.

HDB also announced their embedded LED turn signal - embedded in their handguard plastic cover.

I just got the X2 as well and plan to mount the turn signals on the flat sides of the headlight so it can all be removed as one piece.

I have an X2 light and my turns signals are fine, I just bent them back a bit. Or you can mounted them on the forks. Just use the bottom bolt on the top fork clamp to mount them.

I have the HDB handguards on the stock 08 610 bars. You don't have to get new bars, unless you want.
FWIW, I like HDB products, but those handguards look kinda ugly to me. I'd just relocate the signals as the others have done, or mount somthing cool to the unused hole in the middle of the handguard.

I am going to get the HDB setup with the turn signals and mirrors included. Should help clean up the front end.

Why not just get plastic handguards from Zeta? They have built in turn signals. .. .

SWEET~
