• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Help in installing front wheel at my Husqvarna 1987\1989 WR250

C Class
Hi all.
I own a 87 WR250 that i renew and ride for fun.
Recently i got some parts from Husqvarna 1989 (or Cagiva WMX250 by its other name) .
I got the complete front fork including the wheel, brake, triangle and so on (you can see it on the pictures i added).

The problem is that the front axle has no spacers on it and the front wheel is been held in place by the caliper and disc only!

I guess it isn't the way it supposed to be.

If anyone has a 89 Husqvarna wr250 i'll appreciate some help and pictures of the wheel and the front axle and how to setup it all together.

By The Way, I have ---ALL--- the owner's manual of Husqvarna motorcycles between the years of 86-89 (125,250) and i send it to you free, just leave me a private message with your email .

Another thing, I also have a lot of parts, so if you looking for some thing for the 250 motorcycle in years 87-89 i might just have it .

Thank you,
Dor.

Thank you for the fast replay.
I have the same manual but i still dont understand from the drewing if the wheel is only held by the front caliper or there is a spacer there, that keep the wheel from not moving left and right on the axle.

Yes but still didn't find my answer.
Back then the details on manual's weren't so great :)

i'll take some pictures of the fork and the axle when i get back from the office today, maybe you understand my problem then :).

If you look at the diagram there should be a top hat shaped spacer on the disc side, it goes between the bearing and the fork leg.
