As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Fairly common. However, there are multiple things that can cause the same symptom.
Could be something else.
Hey guys,
When I'm on the highway above 70-75 I experience a high speed wobble that is not rider induced. Has anyone experienced this. Thanks.

Those BMW 19's are cheap enough and easy to find.
Hi mag00, thank you for sharing your experience & feedback.
As I do mainly highway riding I'm interested in fitting a 19" wheel to my Terra. What model & year BMW GS did you source your 19" wheel? I'm assuming existing axle & rotor will install onto the 19" wheel? Cheers
I got tired of the wobble. The Metzler front tire is not very good imho. I put a shinko 744 on and that was the worst tire ever. I then put on a TKC 80 and that tire was fine in the dirt, but wobbled at 65. With the constant flats and wobble, I decided to put a 19" from a GS BMW. I mounted a Shinko 804. I have a new bike again. It dropped the bike and made it more comfortable at stops. The wobble is all but gone, up to 85 mph and steering sensitive but no self induced wobble.
In the sand is where this setup really shines. That pizza cutter 21 would just burry in the sand and not steer. I am a happy camper now.
The Strada I had was running a shinko 805 rear and TKC 80 front. That wobbled pretty much starting around 70. Before I put the dirt tires on it, I could fly down the highway without regard to speed. I really like that tire combo in the dirt and the height of the Strada.
So set up as in the pictures is a Shinko 805 rear and 804 front 18/19 rear/front. 1" lowering link.

I had been driving my Sixty2 alot more recently because of the highway handling, and respectable off road capabilities of the Ducati Scrambler. But now I'm back to the Terra as the preferred ride.
For those on a budget, I'm less than $300 into the new wheel and surely can sell the 21 for more. Those BMW 19's are cheap enough and easy to find.
