  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

How much does she weigh?

Husqvarna
A Class
I was looking at a review for the TE449 and its stated that its dry weight is 249lbs... The bike feels a bit heavier...

Has any one weighed in?

I didnt weigh it new, but my older model TE450 was also advertised at 249 pounds, after adding handguards, skid plate, 1 gallon extra gas, luggage rack, tool bag, gas, oil, coolant, ended up around 300 pounds, kinda hard to believe I added 50 pounds of stuff.....

My Husqvarna TE510 2009 official weight is 249 punds, but "wet weight" is something about 290 pounds with gas, oil, coolant etc. what you need to driving. It feels little bit heavy like you said.

I would understand that if would be small guy, but in my opinion im not, my own weight is 210 punds.. It is heavy bike ride, you have to accept it

Thanks for the input.

My guess on her wet weight would be around 270-280. Defiantly feels lighter than my last drz440sm (fatty). Especially though the corners. I'm only 160lbs with gear. Don't get me wrong she pulls well and is a blast to ride.

So far I have installed the TC mega bomb, Q4, TC air box lid, JD tuner (still finding the right settings), removed charcoal can and rear fender license plate tail. Once I get My warp9 wheel set (just ordered yesterday), Zipty oil recirculator and map#3 I'll have to find a scale. I hope shes under 290.

You can shave quite a bit of weight off with aftermarket parts, bringing it to around 270ish pounds wet. Like OlderHuskyRider mentioned, all the protection gear you throw on it is going to weigh it down, but I never really notice the weight. I can throw the bike around pretty well.

I ride some dirt on the GSA, and then the 449 sheds all sorts of pounds. I wanna drag race a Power Commander equipped 449. Anyone in the Phoenix area interested?
