• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

how much to convert SM forks/shock to TE speck

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hello all
Lots of SM's floating around out there for a cheeper price than a TE and wondered what is involved in converting the SM forks and shock to TE speck, I have the brakes figured out just need the fork and shock info, I guess the SM is less travel and maybe valved different?

Lots of great deals on the SM but I do not want to give up any suspension travel as the bike will see lots of off road.

Thanks
Sethro

cool! Thanks, I just called and left a message with him, hopefully he has some good news for me

I would call Les at LT-Racing.com he can let you know how much and do it right.

I converted my 08 SM to a TE for the verry same reason and have no issues with the SM suspension travel. In fact side by side the travel is close or the same as my 07 TE250. Perhaps you ride more agresive than me?
Dan L:cheers:

I did the same thing to my 08 SM and I had Les revalve and respring the suspension to match my weight and riding style. Les is a top notch guy and he will set you up right. I have had no problems with it after the change and for me the shorter suspension worked better because I'm a short guy anyway:thumbsup:
