• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I recently bought backgrounds for my bike, and there was a problem with the fit. The company is being really good and trying to resolve it. They thought that their template must be wrong, and bought a new one and it's turned out to be the same. They also say they've sold backgrounds for this bike in the past with no problems.

Can you tell what this background might be for? It has a distinct cutout on the right side

That is weird. I don't recognize it. It's physically smaller too, and the newer huskies have the smallest plates of them all, so short of it being for a mini, I'm curious what those would be for as well. Looks like a ktm panel with a grab handle for the husky

Thanks for the reply. I did some looking around. It looked to me like the 2012 side plate might be smaller than the 09-11. Does anybody know if that's true?

Do you have a CR125? Then your background is for the 4stroke bikes. different side numberplates for 2stroke 125 and 4stroke bikes. 125 have exhaust on the right side, and 4stroke have exhaust on left side.

I do have a CR125 (150, actually). That's what I first thought, but saw some pics of a 2012 125 that looked smaller. Thanks

whats with the little cut out though? that obviously clears something or goes to some contour and there isn't a contour like it on any husky bike that i see???

Since there's obviously a great deal of interest here  I thought I'd update.

They are now telling me that my bike must be the Euro (as opposed to the US) model, and that they believe that they have the correct template now.
I was not aware of a difference, but at least they're trying to resolve it. I give them credit for that.
