  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna 1973 RT parts, Electrical NEEDED

Romdiculous

Husqvarna
AA Class
I am looking for the wiring harnesses, and any lights, or signal, light, or brake and Mag switches. These would be the same on a 1973-75 RT either 250 or 360.

Thanks
Romulus

For lights look at any dealer that has CEV stuff many old Moto Guzzi and Ducati places have this stuff. Wireharness you may have to make your own. Try Uptite-Husqvarna this Summer I talked to George he has some stuff. I hate to say this but I'm going on my third RT restoration and stuff is REALLY! hard to find. If you need some photos of stuff give me a message.

I might be redirecting this thread, but I am also interested in the 360 wiring. photoguy, I am new to Husqvarna bikes, and this forum (any forum for that matter), but I joined as I am trying to get my RT360 road ready and there is some good info here. I saw the job you did on your harness (another thread) and thought you might be able to help on mine. I was hoping to send a private message but can't seem to figure it out (not unlike my wiring). You offered photos above, could you offer some other input?

Basically, I am concerned with the output from my lighting coil, and was wondering what yours produced.

Romdiculous, I know this is an ancient thread, but I am building a harness from scratch. I was planning of keeping my old one in the event I wanted to try an accurate restore. But, if you could make better use of it I might part with it if I can get my bike working correctly. Did you ever have any luck on your restore. Again, I'd PM if I knew how.
