• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

During Saturday’s MXGP qualifying race Nagl made contact with another rider soon after the start, crashing as a result. At this point Max was hit in the ankle. Knowing something wasn’t as it should be with his left ankle he immediately rode back to the pit area, taking no further part in the race.

X-rays at the track confirmed a fracture to his ankle, with Max taken immediately to Halle Hospital where he underwent minor surgery. As a result of his injury and subsequent surgery Max will take no further part in the MXGP of Germany.

Max will undergo further investigations in Belgium on Monday to determine an exact recovery time.

This extended racing season (as compared to the ama) has some interesting points such as recovery time for injuries ... So giving up the points lead this weekend does not mean the championship for this Husky rider is lost just yet.

Bummer2!! Herlings has a monster lead ... Don't count him out yet but expect their racing to step up and pass him in points ... AC222 is hurting from last week and that other SUZ rider in ~3rd place is all banged up ... FIM guys take a licking and keep on ticking ....

Herlings will bounce straight back as soon as its plated, And as for AC222 - the man is even harder than I thought he was! I just took a month out from riding due to a bruised thumb/palm that was giving me no end of pain and hes riding with this !!
