• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna Sponsoring World Mtn Bike Championships?

Husqvarna
AA Class
It looks like Husqvarna is a sponsor for the UCI World Mountain Bike XC Championships. Husqvarna banners and course marking ribbon are everywhere. I thought that was kind of interesting. Here are a couple of photos from the Junior Races.

If it were orange I would agree but that is the moto colors. Same effect in advertising.

There is a power equipment company not too far from where I live and the sell Husqvarna equipment. They have blue and white Husqvarna banners and flags in front of the place. Here's a pic I snagged off the web of a dealer.

I'd say motorcycles. The whole course is marked with miles of Husqvarna course marking tape (Just like a EWC special test).

It's also on their lawn and garden site. http://www.husqvarna.com/us/home/ When you look at UCI's Facebook page, Husqvarna South Africa is on there. Here you go. Scroll down a bit and you will see a link to the UCI race on Husqvarna South Africa's FB page. https://www.facebook.com/HusqvarnaSouthAfrica

Even these guys know you gotta race a product brand to be a success ... Thank <someone> the other Husqvarna brand motorcycle licensees know this also. Racing is just a live performance of your product that is actually just advertising ... Works across the board on about all products ...

The sign on the podium looks just like the official logo you can download on the motorcycle website.

The logo is just a logo that can be applied anywhere I think (?) to any product IF you purchase the rights to put that brand name\logo on your product of choice ... <-- learning useless business info like this is a by-product of your motorcycle being sold out to other companies ...
