  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Ibeat Tuning Procedure

Husqvarna
A Class
Hi all, just chasing a procedure/tips for tuning using Ibeat as I'm sure my bike can run better. I bought the Ibeat kit and know how to use the software but basically just tried some different CO1, CO2 & CO3 settings (100-105ish) but not sure exactly what to look for when adjusting and testing(I never saw a definitive improvement with any particular setting). I have a 2010 TE250 with "power up" kit installed (new ecu and 12 port injector). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Mark.

smart move on the ibeat
a good place to start is 97 100 100 on the co's
you can go to my 113moto.com and check out the AFR test videos and you can
see our set up.

Are you using the spark arrestor or the DB killer, or an open pipe?

I have the same bike with the stock 4pt injector and I find the open pipe runs best up 3 on each CO with an open Arrow ti pipe. I've tuned it so well with I-beat that I like the 4pt injector better than the 12pt in my 310 believe it or not! Never flames out and is less "snappy" for wet woods riding.

My 2012 Txc310 with a 12 pt injector is currently at 98 99 99 with a ti Arrow muffler with the SA in. I'd run 101 102 102 with an open pipe but I'm still messing with it as it still is too snappy off idle and flames out from time to time.

Make sure your TPS at WFO is 102.3 or about 962mv at closed throttle.
