• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

If KTM was smart

sounds sound,
on different planet all together but in the same idea factory, I always wonder why Ducati doesnt just reverse engineer a Yamaha or Honda MotoGP machine point to point dimensional layout to get their chassis in line with the other brands.
PS KTM IS smart.

Agree on WP. next time you follow a mate on a KTM watch their rear end (the bikes ). They are prone to kick right and left. I put this squarely down to no linkage. I firmly believe that suspension absorbing hits in the vertical plane and not dissipating impact via a break right or left is better for traction, directional stability and less tiring

As much as I like my wr125 and tc250 X- Lite, My Beta 250rr seems just as flickable but maybe more planted and stable out of the box. I believe the Husky's could be suspension tuned to do the same, but the Beta does it stock.
That being said, if KTM did copy the Husqvarna frame, it very well may be an improvement...

Most of my Husqvarna's are orange, it really doesn't bother me.

Ty's mule is looking tired, I think it's time for a new one.

The 125/ X-Lite bikes are what they are. Great bikes that will no longer be made. If one really likes them, there are some great deals on them now, get one or two, lay up a few spare parts and enjoy them for the next 10 years!

That looks good orange. Those will keep running and don't need any aftermarket help!image.jpg
I was thinking I should make a mini bike stand for my 125 two stroke. Lol!

That's right if they were smart.............................................. Won't happen for many reasons.........................nuff said..........................
