• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Wow. What and exciting day. I woke up and got myself and orange multi vitamin (I'm 48 next week but use the plus 50 for that extra edge!) Then I crabbed a nice fresh glass of orange juice(need that vitamin C . I then grabbed my orange toothbrush and did a nice brush job(even flossed) Then I went to my sock drawer opened it up and well bingo the first pair of socks I saw was, well orange!! No prob I thought. I yelled honey grab me a shirt. How nice I thought a button down orange shirt. Sweet. So I jump in my(custom painted) orange Dodge Ram Powerwagon and tool to K-mart for a new coffee pot. I pay for my coffee pot but somehow someone left some orange tie straps on the counter and they rang them up with my stuff. Oh well I thought!! So on my way out I stop at the pop machine and push the button for a nice cold COKE. OMG I thought how in the world did I get and Orange Crush??????? Anyways I jump back in my orange truck and start tooling down the road and start looking around. OMG everything is orange. Huh. What? And I have new orange tie straps to boot!!! Wow and I have some credit card checks that say 0 percent interest for orange so long!! OMG it was a sign! So I held the pedal to the medal and jumped on my CB and got a hold of LCR(Larsons Cycle Racing) and said Mike it's Fletch I'm on my way to grab a new KTM. He insulted me by saying. Yea right this isn't Fletch and hung up on me! Oh well 3 hours later I was there and bought the best thing ever produced a shiny new orange KTM 500 ECW 2-stroke****************************************! Sunsets, smiles good times and now I am like everyone else! Normal. well sort of****************************************
 
Ya know...on any other day I would say you're fib'n...but today I kinda have to believe ya.:D

Just want to make it crystal clear, that this post, and this thread - was started on April 1st... and I am assuming it is an April Fools joke.




(people sometimes use the Contact Us button at the bottom to ask about things like this, which generates an email to me, and I have to take the time to answer it...)

I was just thinking Fletch was just showing his support for the Syracuse Orangemen in the NCAA final four!
