• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just sold my 11 TXC 449. Surprisingly I got $5200 for it. Had a bunch of upgrades but I thought I would sit on it forever. First time I haven't had a Husky in 5 years. Huskys I've owned:
2008 WR250
2009 WR300
2008 TXC 300
2009 TXC 300
2010 TC 250
2011 TXC 449
All were great bikes and my favorite was a tie between WR300 and TC250. I won my first 2 B senior races on WR300!

I'll be back when Husky comes out with a new 2stroke or a raceable 450 for offroad. I wanted to keep 449 but didn't want to race it. Had thoughts of racing 449 in a couple of BITD races but after talking with Ty Davis it was a no go.

So now Ill pick between my 03 Honda CR250 converted to offroad or my 2008 WR250f with 300 kit on it. Both bikes are stone reliable. I will miss riding the Husky brand but hopefully I'll be back!

Sorry to see you go. While I am aware of the 449 engine flaws (and have been preaching them for some time now), I believe I have found a fix for them and with the completion of my mods the 449 will be a formidable racing weapon.
