    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Hey, just wanted to post a note. I've been looking at the OTB Dakar pants, but the 180 retail is just too much money for me to spend on pants that will undoubtedly get thrashed. SO, I was peeking around and saw they are on sale at KLIM.com for $119. Thats some serious coin savings for current year new gear and I picked up a set. Just wanted to give everyone an FYI. I have no idea how long the stuff is on sale for. To my knowledge, none of the retailers on here sell or market KLIM stuff so I didn't think it's stepping on any ones toes.
 
Nice Find!!! and IMO, even if people here did retail them, there is nothing wrong with sharing deals dude!!! Everyone loves a good deal!

I agree with you, though I know some forums don't like you sharing deals if the peeps that sponsor the site sell the exact stuff for not on sale prices. Luckily none of the sponsors (to my knowledge) sell KLIM stuff, so it shouldn't be a big deal I hope. Though I'll imagine we will find out soon enough. NO sale on Jerseys though. Wish I didn't have to pay 45 dollars on those. :)

That is the political BS I don't like about other forums... This forum seems to be really good people, low drama, low politics, and LOT of riding / good info...

No thread Hi-jack here. It's entirely related. :) I can understand their point. The forums exists because of the sponsors, and they want to keep it operating, so they work with their interest in mind. I honestly did a quick check in the market forum to see if there was a KLIM dealer. Didn't see one, figured if one of us here scores a set of nice pants for cheaper than the normal OTB pants that are poorly made these days, then it's worth it. And I agree, there are some real stand up peeps on the forums. I've been helped many times in trying to get an auto clutch into my 1 year bike that they don't make one for. Waiting for a compatible unit to pop up on here or ebay so I can start the conversion. :)
 
I think the savings was passed on to the retailers too, because Atomic Moto has them at that price.
 
pretty sure the sale went live right after the Polaris announcement. i've seen great pricing on a handful of sites now.

really hope they stick to what they say and keep the KLIM team. i love their stuff.
 
anyone see any sales on the jerseys? they still want 45 for a matching jersey. i fall down and rip stuff too much to justify spending 45 for a jersey. Any leads?
 
I really need a pair of the Mojave maybe ... I have some black DS pants here but they are just too hot ... So hot I always get leg cramps if its a normal hot day here ... I'll have to try the white ones for heat relief ... I figure they'll get brown color here quick enough if I don't wash them for a while ...
