• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just one?...BUT you 'represented'!...
glad to hear about this event...
I need to get to this event...

I will be "Harvey Mushman"....LOL

I think that guy must have had a bad primary crank seal.
It was a 1974-75 Yamaha 500SC, bellowing smoke and the guy wouldn't quit reving the thing.
I think he was afraid it wouldn't start again if he shut it off, so he just sat there reving it.
Maybe he was trying to kill off his competition. LOL
I believe he finished though, I saw him complete several loops.
I had to spectate this year, but I rode it last year on a 100cc Hodaka. The course was a bit different, but both courses used some of the original course from back in the 70's.
I was expecting Malcom Smith to pass me any second.:notworthy:

I rode the very 1st year of the race. Yes Malcom passed me & Harvey Mushman was there! I took 3rd in the 175cc expert class on a Montesa. The good old days. Now riding a 2006 Husky SMR. Mike Radner

I rode in the 5th Annual Elsinore GP in 1972. I still have the program, an item packed with historic pictures, ads and information. The starting line was actually about that smokey from all the two strokes all revving up, trying to clear their loaded up crankcases.

Those were the days....the real deal.

That is awesome. :)

I was out there with my sister as well. It was a fun race. Both my sister and I were out there representing the new breed of Huskys, 09 TE450 and 09 TE510. The vintage race was cool to watch and it seemed like a rather large turnout, at least I thought so.

anyone catch the guy on the 610 in the +40 race?it had a huge gastank and paniers on it,and the guy was flat moving out!
