• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Leaking fuel Tap 05 610 SM

HDND

Husqvarna
B Class
G'day all. Not sure if this issue has been posted before, however the fuel tap on/off seems to be leaking through the sending wire.?

1. Has anyone had or know of this happening.
2. Is it a warrantable item (1month remaining) 1st registered Nov 07.
It is amazing what is not covered in Huskies 2 year warrantee.

Kind regards.

Yes I've heard of this happening a lot and experienced it first hand myself. I'd imagine that it would be covered under the warranty - all you can do is ask; the worst they can say is no!

If it isn't covered some have successfully repaired it with JB weld. I tried this (and failed) and ended up using a KTM fuel tap. I've since ben told an Acerbis one fits too. I can dig out the part number if you decide to go down the KTM route..........

Yep, real common. Mine leaked just out of warranty, replaced it with a new stock one. That one leaked too before very long. Replaced IT with a KTM one. It's all good now.

From another forum I got this info:

Its for a KTM 2002/2003 400/450 (part#=58307105200)

Good luck..........

Finally got a response on the warrantee for the Fuel tap seems, they are going to cover it and that it is a common problem over here as well. ???? Why dont they rectify these common faults or do they want me to go back to an ORANGE THING.:banghead:

Thanks for the replies about the KTM item. I will get one of those as a spare for the trunk as they are reasonably priced over here.

 Fella's
