  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Wow, you'll have to show us a night photo of the stock light agianst the garage door and then a comparison shot with that moster lighting up the G. Door.

Cool man!

meg it looks like your the only one that wants to do any real night runs lol;)
dont worry my dad will have that thing figured out soon. it will be the best light ever put on a husky and you wont have to worry about the lack of light...
when your passing people at nite like they are standing still cause they cant see crap youll see why that size of a light is worth every ounce. (dont let anyone know its lighter than a old school hid)
i cant wait to get mine!
post some pics of the lights out put compared to the stock light (ill have my dad take a bunch of photos of the pount he builds for it and wireing so that it will be a good write up for the forum :))

Saw the 8" version of that light mounted on a KTM 690 this past weekend. It was mounted above the stock headlight with hardware that used the handguard mounts for attachment.

Sorry, don't have a pic.

Buddy of mine ran two of those on a 24 hour race here local and said it ruled. Had a big side bracket.

I like the handguard idea. We were thinking that... I am excited to use it, especailly for some night races!! Gonna put it on my boyfriends buggy for this weekend to test it out!! I'll take pics of its brightness and post!

I was thinking in a similar location...possibly on (in front of) the cross bar (if you have one)!
