• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Like I said before, I'm new to the sumo scene and have a few questions...this bike does not have a steering stabilizor and both my previous and only crotch rockets I had had them. Anything above say 30mph and I move the handle bars back and forth the bike wiggels pretty bad. Sketchy enough that I'm not going to attempt to wheelie. Or maybe I'm over reacting. It has been ten years since u rode a dirtbike or motorcycle.

Other than that, this bike is awesome! I do need soften the suspension a little, rides pretty stiff...which is funny bc the guy I bought it from is probably 50lbs lighter.

Any inputs would be appreciated!

Could be wheel, bad tire, improper mounting, suspension issue, headset bearings, etc. I would fix the wobble before "bandaiding" it with a damper.

Steering head bearing adjustment (mine were loose), tire runout, (put it on a stand use a can with plastic straw on it,
Put it an 1/8" from front of,tire, then side. Will show you wheel true. While its on the stand, spin wheel, when it stops,
Make mark at bottom of wheel, spin again, if it keeps coming back to same marked spot, it's out of balance, if it stops in
Different places it's ok..(remove brake caliper for this and make sure it spins free) also make sure your not gripping
Your bars tightly, and tensing up....look closely at tire at bead while you spin it, it should be even line, not varying.

Thanks! I'll ck those items tomorrow. After the ride (and post) I ck'd the tire pressures frt and rear, they were both about 8psi low. I have them at 22/24 cold.

I'll go for a quick ride in the morning and see if the pressure was the issue. I'll dbl ck the pressure again before I set off this tome to make sure.

Okay, all suspension settings back to stock, tp frt/rr set to 26psi, ck'd wheel bearing, steering play...all legit. Get back on the road, bike feels better suspension wise, but the over sensitive steering is still there.

What's next?
