• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Linkage spacer?

Bench Racer 117

I took my linkage apart last night to fix a broken zerk fitting. I wasn't really paying attention when the spacer/washer fell out. Where does this part need to be placed?

always include year and model and even a foto or more. We are all happy to help. Gotta have reference. we could assume its your WR250, by the avatar, but we just didn't know.
Lankydoug posted the IPB (illustrated parts breakdown) with those exploded views you can find the parts installation sequence and location. Those pubs are the best for all brands. good luck, get her back together and get out and riiiide!!

I guess you were asking about the gudgeon, which is the lower shock mount. I viewed this thread, as I am currently waiting on an order for bearings that I let go too long, 1 of the OEM bearings rusted and pulverized to dust, the one that the gudgeon goes into, it's an odd size, smaller than the other 6 bearings in the linkage. I looked up the schematic on your bike and saw that your linkage uses 2 o-rings to protect the gudgeon bearing from dirt instead of the thicker seal ring. Since I am going to use the larger, 20mm wide bearing for the gudgeon, I will not have room for the seal rings but I might just have enough room for a couple of skinny O-rings. (pic below is jmetteer's pic I found of the gudgeon and it's bearing) So thanks for the thread, it generated another idea for a different way to solve a problem!
